Opportunity
Due to continuous growth and internal transfers, MLG Oz are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Management Team and Senior Payroll Officer, this position is:
- 25 - 40 hours per week with flexible working start and finish times
- Permanent full-time position
Tasks & responsibilities
- Delivery of the end-to-end fortnightly payroll process for 1100+ employees (including Superannuation and third-party payments)
- Ensuring data accuracy and integrity for existing records and new starters
- Processing terminations according to current legislative requirements
- Actioning calculations, adjustments, ad hoc payruns and bonuses
- Supporting employees, site teams and all hierarchical layers of the management team
- Contributing to continuous review and improvement of systems and processes
- Other duties as directed by the Finance Management team
Qualifications & experience
- Experience in a fully functional payroll role
- Transport and Mining exposure will be looked upon favourably, although not essential
- Ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards and legislation for payroll application
- Must be able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workflow accordingly
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Adhere to the discretion and confidentiality required around payroll
- Interest in the payroll function and willingness to learn and progress
- Possess interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of the organisation and other stakeholders
- Microkeeper experience and intermediate Excel skills would be an advantage
