Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our team and take charge of maintaining and repairing a broad range of equipment—including trucks, mobile plant, light vehicles, and more. You’ll bring strong mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to keeping our fleet running at its best.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across trucks, mobile plant, light vehicles, and related machinery.
Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections to proactively detect and address wear or faults.
Strip down and rebuild major components of heavy equipment as required.
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and hydraulic assemblies.
Operate diagnostic software and tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
Record all service, repair, and maintenance activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards during daily operations.
Work closely with other technicians to complete complex tasks and major overhauls.
Skills/Qualifications:
Current & Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred)
National Police Clearance (validity dependant on site)
Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
High Risk Forklift Licence (Desirable)
Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safety.
