Position Overview
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Human Resources Administrator to join us on a temporary 3-month contract, reporting directly to the Lead – Human Resources.
This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Mining Sector with an established and growing organisation. No prior HR experience is required—just the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
You don’t need to come from the mining or haulage industries, but an interest in them would be beneficial. This role is ideal for HR graduates or students nearing the completion of their qualification.
This position offers:
- A Perth CBD location
- Monday to Friday, 40-hour week. Work anytime between 7:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities Will Include (but are not limited to):
- Managing and actioning the HR inbox
- Preparing documentation for employee lifecycle activities (e.g. transfers, role changes, salary updates, probation reviews, performance management, etc.)
- Supporting the HR team with outgoing correspondence and ensuring timely return and filing
- Following up on outstanding documentation with relevant stakeholders
- Filing and maintaining HR records in line with company standards
- Updating organisational charts and personnel structures
- Assisting with recruitment and mobilisation tasks during peak periods (e.g. screening, reference checks, onboarding)
- Drafting employment contracts outside of standard recruitment processes
- Maintaining HR data across systems such as SharePoint, MicroKeeper, ELMO, and the intranet
- Supporting HR marketing initiatives (e.g. social media, internal communications, promotional materials)
- Assisting with coordination of HR-related events and projects (e.g. job expos, networking events)
- Compiling reports on HR metrics, exit interviews, and employee lifecycle data
- Assisting in the development of HR policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Coordinating logistics for site visits
To Be Considered for This Role, You Will Need:
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
- Exposure to HR, recruitment, or mobilisation administration is advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Office, and other organisational tools
- Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems is a plus
- A current and valid driver’s licence
