Job Description
Due to continuous growth within the business and MLG's high expectations on SAFETY, MLG are seeking an experienced WHS Advisor’s to join our highly valued Work, Health, and Safety on Haulage, Mining and Civil projects in the Goldfields, WA.
Opportunity
Focusing on actively promoting a positive safety culture and reporting to the Project Manager, this position is:
FIFO from Perth
Permanent - Full Time
8/6 or 2/2 Family Friendly Rosters - ideal for candidates based in WA, SA, VIC, and QLD
4/3 roster- Ideal for Perth and Kalgoorlie candidates

Tasks & responsibilities
Communicate (written/verbal) clearly and concisely at all levels
Conduct Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification activities
Having conversations that reiterate the required WHS behaviours
Develop and maintain internal and external relationships
Maintain the Site Training Matrix, ensuring it is up to date and easily available to Site Management
Ensure audits and inspections are undertaken in accordance with site and legislative requirements
Ensure all incidents are reported, recorded, escalated, and then investigated as per MLG requirements
Support the MLG Injury Management process
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications & experience
Australia based candidates
Certificate IV or Diploma OHS/WHS
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Ability to pass a Pre-employment medical + DAS
Use of Safety Management Software (MYOSH or similar)
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework for Work Health and Safety (state and national)
ICAM Investigation Trained
Working Knowledge of Injury Management and Return to Work requirements
Acting as the first point of contact for WHS queries and advice
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
Passion for safety management
