Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced CAT Maintenance Specialist to provide leadership, guidance and mentoring across multiple sites in WA & NT. This is your chance to make a real impact in a supportive, inclusive team culture. With your extensive CAT maintenance experience, you will travel to various sites to provide guidance and mentorship to our site based maintenance teams across WA & NT via presentations and hands on demonstrations on CAT Mobile Plant Equipment - loaders, dozers, graders, dump trucks and more.

To be successful in this role, you will guide and mentor our team while undertaking the following:

  • Conduct fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections to proactively detect and address wear or faults
  • Strip down and rebuild major components of heavy equipment as required
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and hydraulic assemblies
  • Operate diagnostic software and tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues
  • Record all service, repair, and maintenance activities with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards during daily operations
  • Work closely with other technicians to complete complex tasks and major overhauls

Desired Skills and Experience

About You:

  • Australian recognised trade certificate with a minimum 5 years post-trade experience
  • 10+ years industry experience
  • Certificate III in heavy-duty diesel equipment (or equivalent)
  • Strong track record maintaining CAT heavy earthmoving equipment – excavators, trucks, dozers, loaders, graders
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information clearly
  • High level of computer literacy (highly regarded)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening
  • Ability to meet security requirements (National Police Clearance)
