Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced CAT Maintenance Specialist to provide leadership, guidance and mentoring across multiple sites in WA & NT. This is your chance to make a real impact in a supportive, inclusive team culture. With your extensive CAT maintenance experience, you will travel to various sites to provide guidance and mentorship to our site based maintenance teams across WA & NT via presentations and hands on demonstrations on CAT Mobile Plant Equipment - loaders, dozers, graders, dump trucks and more.
To be successful in this role, you will guide and mentor our team while undertaking the following:
Conduct fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections to proactively detect and address wear or faults
Strip down and rebuild major components of heavy equipment as required
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and hydraulic assemblies
Operate diagnostic software and tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues
Record all service, repair, and maintenance activities with accuracy and attention to detail
Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards during daily operations
Work closely with other technicians to complete complex tasks and major overhauls
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
Australian recognised trade certificate with a minimum 5 years post-trade experience
10+ years industry experience
Certificate III in heavy-duty diesel equipment (or equivalent)
Strong track record maintaining CAT heavy earthmoving equipment – excavators, trucks, dozers, loaders, graders
Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Ability to communicate effectively and present information clearly
High level of computer literacy (highly regarded)
Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening
Ability to meet security requirements (National Police Clearance)
