Job Description

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly capable Contract Manager to join our Commercial team in Perth. This role is pivotal in managing the full lifecycle of client contracts, acting as the key interface between clients and internal teams including operations, finance, and legal.

You will ensure contractual obligations are clearly understood, proactively managed, and consistently delivered—while identifying risks and driving commercial value across the contract portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management & Governance

  • Maintain contract, communications, and rates registers with full accuracy and version control
  • Ensure all contractual records and client interactions are captured in HubSpot
  • Monitor contractual obligations, timelines, and compliance requirements

Commercial & Financial Oversight

  • Review rise & fall calculations and ensure correct application
  • Track CPI/PPI escalations, rate reviews, and financial triggers
  • Support budgeting and forecasting by aligning commercial terms

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on contractual matters
  • Attend client meetings and build strong commercial relationships
  • Provide clear contract summaries, risk insights, and briefings to leadership

Performance & Risk Management

  • Track contractual KPIs and compliance across all contracts
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Partner with legal counsel on risk, disputes, and contract variations

About You

You are a commercially savvy contract professional who thrives in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment.

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Strong ability to interpret complex contracts and identify risks/opportunities
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management
  • Commercially astute with sound judgement and problem-solving ability

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience in contract or commercial management
  • Proven background managing client contracts end-to-end
  • Experience tracking KPIs, obligations, and compliance
  • Experience with contract registers and CRM systems (HubSpot advantageous)
  • Background in mining, resources, or related sectors preferred

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law or related field (desirable)
  • Relevant commercial or business certification (advantageous)
